If you were reading a real estate listing that contained the acronyms 2,200 SF, 3BR, 2BA, SPAC LVR, CAC, D/D, would you know is meant? Well, in English, the listing would translate to: 2,200 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, spacious living room, central air conditioning, dishwasher and garbage disposal.
As you can see, reading these kinds of real estate listing terms can be tough if you don't have experience with them. The reason that realtors and real estate companies use these abbreviations is because most publishers charge by the word of by length for advertising. As you can imagine, a few short letters would cost far less than a few sentences or a short paragraph to publish!
