National City Mortgage was developed in 1989 by the National City Mortgage Corporation.  In 2003, National City Mortgage achieved the rank of  the nation's 9th largest mortgage originator after it had $105 billion in total fundings!

In it's quest to develop a strong, well-placed network of mortgage offices, National City Mortgage has acquired companies such as AccuBanc Mortgage, Commonwealth United Mortgage, Eastern Mortgage Services, First of America, FNMC-The Mortgage Company, Gem Mortgage Corporation, Integra Mortgage Company, Merchants National Bank and Muirfield Mortgage.

National City Mortgage now has about 300 offices in 37 states in the United States to serve the needs of it's expanding residential home loan customer base.
